Press report: May 2007
At its May meeting Surrey Border Film & Video Makers were entertained by club member Peter Matthews who is an expert in High Definition (HD) video. He gave us a though explanation of HD and demonstrated the amazing clarity of movies using this new format. He pointed out factors like the need to keep the shots on the screen for longer as there is so much to see! Rapid movements can be a problem due to all those pixels and the different screen proportions of 16x9 rather than 4x3 - and of course the need for compatable editing programmes and lenses and a solid tripod due to the sensitivity to any camera movement. A fascinating evening! |
