Alex and Mary Dove took the Jackson Trophy for 'Best Overall' for their holiday movie Nautilus, an Underwater Adventure, which had been edited on David Jackson's NLE equipment. It told the story of the loss and recover of Alex's wallet whilst scuba diving in the Caribbean. |
Bruce Frazer won the Pat Doherty Trophy for Best Use of Sound with his Snippets of Switzerland, which showed memorable images of the glorious mountainous scenery of Switzerland together with the sounds of bells and music of the Alps. |

David Jackson retained the Arthur English Memorial Trophy for Best Photography for the second year running, this time with The Galapagos Islands, a close up look at wildlife in this Pacific paradise, shot with a small hand-held palmcorder. |
Paddy Haines, proving yet again that it's ideas and creativity not technology that is important, he won the trophy for Best Holiday Movie and a Highly Commended Certificate for A Millennium Record. Both were edited using just a VCR - no computer. |
