Sir Paul's 80th birthday

During the March meeting of the video club members celebrated the 80th birthday of Paul Holden, who founded the club 19 years ago. There were drinks all round. One of the members, David Jackson, then showed a filmed interview where Paul recounted how he had started in the RAF where he had flown Spitfires, Hurricanes and Tempests. He recounted how it was part of his role to fly his aircraft in a flight pattern closely simulating that followed by doodle-bugs so ATS staff could practice operating the predictors which controlled the guns.
